Deputy Camlo (Fintech)

TL;DR

Deputy CAMLO (Fintech): Responsible for the design, execution, and oversight of the organization's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) program with an accent on safeguarding the company's reputation and soundness by significantly reducing financial crime risk. Focus on ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, system changes, and building-outs related to new products or new features.

Location: Primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices.

What you will do

• Ensure the safety, soundness, and reputation of the organization by reducing the likelihood of financial crime.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to FINTRAC and other key stakeholders.
• Foster a strong culture of compliance through collaboration, transparency, and risk mitigation.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of AML Professionals.
• Establish and communicate AML/ATF standards, policies, processes, and internal controls.
• Oversee AML system and data changes and build-outs related to new products or new features.

Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience with AML regulations (PCMLTFA), in a regulated entity or consulting to regulated entities; fintech experience is a strong asset.
• 3+ years in a leadership position.
• Visionary with expertise in analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with product and technical teams to provide business requirements that meet AML regulatory requirements.
• Entrepreneurial DNA and a strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to risk mitigation.
