Software Engineer (Data Platform)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, United States

Salary: $175K–$225K per year plus 0.5%–1% equity, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Build and maintain core data systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with product engineers to deliver new features.
• Improve the development lifecycle and increase team productivity.
• Contribute to product, growth, recruiting, and fundraising initiatives in an early-stage startup environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience engineering data systems with technologies such as Spark, Beam, or Flink.
• Strong experience with relational database schema design.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under uncertainty without direct supervision.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in New York City.

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain data.
