What you will do
- Architect and deliver enterprise-scale analytics platforms using dbt Cloud
- Partner with Sales to win and expand strategic accounts by demonstrating clear technical and business value
- Lead complex proof-of-value engagements and executive-level technical evaluations
- Own the technical customer journey from pre-sales through long-term adoption and expansion
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and key partners (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS) to shape platform direction and accelerate customer success
- Represent dbt externally through community and thought leadership; travel 10–20% for key engagements
Requirements
- Must be based in Texas or Central US region with ability to travel periodically
- 5+ years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or data engineering roles
- Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and production-grade data pipelines
- Deep knowledge of modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a collaborative mindset
