Principal UI Architect (AI): Leading the architecture of large-scale user-facing systems and backend services that integrate with an Agentic AI Platform, orchestrating LLM-based workflows. Focus on system design, performance optimization, reliability, code quality, security and observability.

Location: Must be based out of our Santa Clara, CA office

Salary: $175,000 - $220,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end architecture of scalable cloud-native applications.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to deliver intuitive, secure, and AI-integrated experiences.
• Collaborate closely with the Agentic AI Platform team to define integration strategies for LLMs, GenAI services, RAG pipelines, A2A workflows, and more.
• Drive adoption of AI developer tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot across engineering teams.
• Establish and enforce best practices in system design, performance optimization, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers, provide architectural guidance, and elevate engineering excellence across the org.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture, including hands-on full-stack development.
• Proven expertise in designing and delivering large-scale, cloud-native applications.
• Strong experience in React.js, ShadCN, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps (ArgoCD).
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL data modeling.
• Strong practices in code quality, performance optimization, security, and system monitoring.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in LLM/GenAI systems, including RAG, agent orchestration (A2A/MCP), and API integrations with AI platforms.
• Familiarity with Generative UI, LangChain and Google's Agent Development Kit (ADK).
• Prior experience in building AI-enabled SaaS products.
• Contributions to open-source projects, engineering blogs, or architecture frameworks.
