Hardware System Engineer

What you will do

• Qualify servers, JBOFs, SSDs, network cards, switches, and optical transceivers.
• Write requirements documents for new hardware and platform features.
• Work with vendors on implementation, debugging, and hardware integration.
• Become a subject matter expert for assigned hardware platforms and technologies.
• Transfer hardware knowledge to software development, QA, support, and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Detailed system-level understanding of complex systems.
• Experience with hardware design, firmware design, Linux device drivers, or QA and verification of complex systems.
• Experience with at least one area including PCIe, server design, storage systems, networking, or Linux hardware debugging.
• Knowledge of technologies such as NVMe SSDs, NVMe-oF, RAID, x86 CPUs, BMC, IPMI, Redfish, BIOS, UEFI, Ethernet, InfiniBand, RDMA, QoS, and DPUs.
• A B.A. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is an advantage.
