Open Source Community Advocate

Location: Global Remote; fully remote with the flexibility to work from wherever you want

US base salary: $67.9K–$183.5K annually, plus equity and benefits.

hirify.global provides an open source business intelligence and data analytics platform used by startups and large enterprises to measure, analyze, and share data.

What you will do

• Answer user questions and troubleshoot issues on the hirify.global Discourse forum.
• Support customers through Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, Slack communities, and other public channels.
• Help users connect to data, transform it into useful shapes, and convert questions into executable queries.
• Build relationships with open source users, trial customers, and paying customers.
• Collaborate with the writing team on documentation and customer-focused content.
• Participate in webinars, in-person events, brainstorming sessions, and product feedback discussions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience writing production code or administering systems.
• Strong technical background and excellent written communication skills.
• Experience with data visualization or data analytics tools.
• Expertise in at least one area: running hirify.global across operating systems, web application networking, server administration, Docker, AWS, GCP, databases, or SQL.
• Comfort representing hirify.global in webinars or in-person events.
• Enjoyment of helping people and solving technical problems.

Nice to have

• Experience using hirify.global.
• Fluency in multiple languages.
