Senior Database Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Remote

Salary: $190K–$240K per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Scale and optimize database infrastructure for performance, reliability, security, and growth, starting with PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora.
• Design and implement monitoring, database tuning, and scaling strategies for the SaaS platform.
• Build automation and tooling that make database management consistent and repeatable.
• Lead optimization initiatives that improve system health and uptime.
• Expand into broader SRE responsibilities and help shape infrastructure and reliability practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or database administration.
• Deep production experience with PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora at scale.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, with the ability to work close to application code.
• Strong background in highly available, scalable database design and operations.
• Experience optimizing database performance, resolving complex issues, and applying engineering best practices.
• Experience with Terraform or Terragrunt, Docker or Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Prisma or another ORM framework.
• Exposure to Redshift or other data warehouse technologies.
