Site Reliability Engineer (Storage) - Remote Friendly

Location: Hybrid, based in Paris, Berlin, Milan, Belgrade, or Barcelona. The team is remote-first and distributed across Europe.

What you will do

• Operate and safeguard PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and Elasticsearch in production.
• Respond to incidents, investigate difficult queries and performance issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Define and prioritize backup and disaster-recovery scenarios with Risk & Compliance.
• Build internal platform APIs and self-service tooling for backend teams to provision storage resources.
• Help make storage APIs safe and traceable for autonomous AI agents.

Requirements

• Production experience operating PostgreSQL, including performance investigation, backups, restores, and safe changes.
• Working knowledge of Redis, Kafka, or Elasticsearch, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Experience handling production incidents involving stateful systems.
• Ability to write and ship code for internal platform tools, not only scripts.
• Practical experience using AI for debugging, coding, documentation, or operational work.
