What you will do

• Design and build core backend services and APIs that power the ALPS platform and client-facing applications.
• Optimize the data service, focusing on schema design, query optimization, and scalability.
• Integrate Actus with complex enterprise client systems and various third-party services.
• Define and uphold backend engineering standards, including code structure, testing strategies, and review culture.
• Drive technical improvements and turn innovative ideas into shipped solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and product owners to deliver end-to-end features and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

• Professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, GraphQL, and MongoDB.
• Strong grasp of backend architecture patterns, REST/GraphQL API design, and data modelling.
• Experience owning testing strategies at unit, integration, and end-to-end levels (e.g., Jest, Mocha).
• Experience with containerization and deployment pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.
• Business fluent English.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical track record.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures or message brokers such as Kafka.
