What you will do

• Lead development of key features for a pediatric home health services platform.
• Design and implement secure RESTful APIs for communication and data flow.
• Optimize database performance and maintain scalable, secure application architecture.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholders on technical and business requirements.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and overall system health.
• Keep PHP, Laravel, AWS, and healthcare technology practices up to date.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with extensive PHP framework expertise, especially Laravel.
• Strong database query optimization and indexing skills.
• Experience designing secure RESTful APIs with authentication standards such as OAuth 2.0.
• Knowledge of MVC, microservices, event-driven architecture, and separation of concerns.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and deployment, and application performance monitoring.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, load balancing, auto-scaling, and Docker.

Nice to have

• Basic frontend knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, including EMR systems, Google Geocoding API, Twilio, Snowflake, or Jobvite.
• Awareness of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
• Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
