Front End UI Software Engineer (Slack)

Senior Software Engineer (Frontend): Develop and optimize hirify.global's frontend build system to improve speed and performance with an accent on developer productivity and tooling efficiency. Focus on solving complex scaling challenges, improving engineering standards, and mentoring engineers.

Location: Hybrid in United States, specifically Atlanta, Georgia and San Francisco, California

Salary: $148,500 - $344,700 annually

What you will do

• Speed up frontend development cycle by making hirify.global’s frontend build faster and more performant
• Brainstorm and implement novel solutions to simplify and enhance engineers’ productivity
• Collaborate across teams to deliver effective solutions
• Trace, measure, and improve performance of internal systems
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
• Mentor engineers and conduct deep code reviews

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States (Atlanta or San Francisco) with hybrid office attendance
• 5+ years experience with JavaScript or TypeScript
• 4+ years experience with modern frontend toolchains and build tools (Webpack, Rspack)
• 3+ years experience with CI/CD tools
• 2+ years experience with tsc and/or tsgo
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and self-motivation

Nice to have

• Experience with yarn workspaces and Typescript Project References
• Experience with CSS tooling (less, Sass, PostCSS, Lightning CSS)
• Experience with frontend linters like ESLint, Oxlint, Biome
• Experience investigating and improving JavaScript performance
• Experience with PHP, Hack, or Rust programming languages
• Experience with React and Redux
