Autonomous Vehicle Validation Field Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Jerusalem, Israel; onsite. The role involves outdoor field activity, field conditions, and periodic travel abroad for up to 25% based on customer and business needs.

What you will do

• Plan and execute test plans based on test requirements during outdoor field activities.
• Assess autonomous vehicle online behavior and performance.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug offline data logs, then report on version performance.
• Open and lead issues based on analysis and debugging findings.
• Own the end-to-end application validation plan.
• Lead technical investigations with engineers from multiple disciplines.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in engineering, preferably electronic, mechanical, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in technical roles in the automotive industry.
• Strong driving abilities and a passion for vehicles.
• Exceptional problem-solving, failure-analysis, attention-to-detail, and analytical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn independently, stay motivated, organize work, and multitask.
• Willingness to work in field conditions and travel abroad periodically, up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Understanding of signal processing.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems and ECU components.
• Proficiency with CAN, Ethernet, and other protocol tools.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting devices, operating systems, and protocol-based devices.
