Enterprise Architect (AI)

Location: Hybrid work with required reporting to the Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ office

Base salary: $185,000–$220,000 annually, depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

What you will do

• Develop current-state, target-state, and transition architectures with business and technology stakeholders.
• Build enterprise and technology roadmaps covering modernization priorities, dependencies, sequencing, and investment needs.
• Lead application and technology portfolio rationalization by assessing business alignment, technical health, cost, risk, duplication, and strategic fit.
• Lead and participate in Architecture Review Boards and architecture reviews, document decisions, manage exceptions, and drive issues to resolution.
• Develop architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, patterns, guardrails, lifecycle positions, and other actionable artifacts.
• Collaborate across domain, platform, solution, technical, engineering, infrastructure, security, data, and AI teams to evaluate technologies and execute enterprise decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of progressive technology experience, including 5+ years in architecture, technology strategy, or large-scale technology transformation.
• Experience producing architecture models, roadmaps, principles, standards, reference architectures, and assessments.
• Experience with application or technology portfolio rationalization and modernization strategies.
• Experience leading or participating in architecture reviews and facilitating complex technology decisions and trade-offs.
• Deep expertise in at least one architecture domain: applications/software, infrastructure/cloud, data/integration, cybersecurity, or AI, with sufficient breadth across adjacent domains.
• Ability to connect business capabilities and objectives to technology architecture and investment decisions.
• Intermediate ability in technical documentation, multiple technology areas, DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code and monitoring, Agile/Waterfall/Scrum frameworks, system security, project delivery, API design and integration, and cloud-based solutions.
• Strong executive, business, and technical communication and facilitation skills.

• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
