Senior Developer (Contentful)

What you will do

• Migrate and modernise enterprise applications and content from Sitecore to Contentful.
• Develop, refactor, and enhance frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
• Replace Sitecore-specific dependencies and integrations with Contentful-compatible solutions.
• Build migration tooling, scripts, automated transformations, content models, API integrations, and content delivery patterns.
• Use AI-assisted and spec-driven development for analysis, implementation, refactoring, migration, and validation while maintaining technical ownership.
• Own complex migration components, contribute to CI/CD and automated testing, identify technical risks, collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and content teams, and mentor less experienced developers.

Requirements

• Strong commercial software engineering experience, particularly with React and TypeScript.
• Experience migrating, modernising, or refactoring existing frontend applications.
• Practical experience with headless CMS platforms, preferably Contentful, and an understanding of Sitecore.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and content modelling.
• Experience with backend development, migration scripting, or data transformation.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools and understanding of spec-driven development approaches.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
• Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and influence technical implementation decisions.

Nice to have

• Direct experience migrating Sitecore applications and content to Contentful.
• Experience with Next.js, Sitecore JSS, or CMS/DXP replatforming.
• Experience applying AI to content analysis, migration automation, code transformation, or test generation.
• Experience with multilingual, multisite, or composable digital platforms.
