IT Administrator - Infrastructure and Help Desk (Defense Technology)

Location: Huntington Beach, California, United States. On-site infrastructure support is required across company sites, with travel of approximately 25–30% during new site development. Extended hours and weekends may be required.

Salary: $32–$40 USD per hour, base salary only.

What you will do

• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS/DHCP, file and print services, virtualization, backups, restore testing, and certificates.
• Manage endpoint images, Intune or Jamf baselines, patching, encryption, EDR coverage, and Okta device-binding readiness; report coverage weekly.
• Administer Microsoft 365, including GCC High after migration, and Okta.
• Support site builds and existing sites through rack and stack work, structured cabling, switch and wireless access point installation, and MDF/IDF upkeep.
• Monitor and respond to incidents, run changes through change management, and maintain current runbooks and network diagrams.
• Produce NIST SP 800-171 evidence, automate provisioning and compliance checks with PowerShell, and participate in the systems on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Entra ID, Microsoft 365 administration, virtualization, and backup systems.
• Experience managing MDM- and EDR-covered endpoint fleets using Intune or Jamf, plus Okta or an equivalent identity provider.
• Comfort with physical infrastructure, including racking, cabling, switch and wireless access point installation, and basic VLAN configuration.
• PowerShell skills, disciplined technical documentation, and working familiarity with NIST SP 800-171.
• Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, qualifying refugee or asylee, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorization.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; Mach participates in E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud High (GCC High).
• Experience in defense, aerospace, cleared-facility, or manufacturing environments.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MD-102, AZ-104, CompTIA Network+, or Security+.
• Familiarity with Jamf, Linux operating systems, and Python scripting.
