Windows Administrator IV (Active Directory/Entra ID)

Location: Colorado, United States; 100% remote with onsite travel as required

What you will do

• Plan and execute enterprise Active Directory to Entra ID migrations, domain consolidation, migration waves, communications, compatibility testing, and cutovers.
• Configure Entra ID identity synchronization, validate directory health, implement Kerberos/SSO, and perform workstation and domain re-joins.
• Deploy PowerShell automation and migration pipelines, including pilot migrations of approximately 200 users and controlled nightly batches of up to 150 users Monday through Thursday.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation for permissions, ACL remediation, Kerberos/SSO, workstation/domain re-join, authentication, profile, application access, and PIV certificate login issues.
• Monitor systems and performance, maintain OS and software patching baselines, and perform backup/restore, configuration management, change control, and disaster recovery testing.
• Develop infrastructure and transition plans, authoritative helpdesk runbooks, documentation, and training; provide daily status updates before 12:00 PM MT and escalate urgent issues within one hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology field.
• 15 years of experience designing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Windows system environments.
• Expertise with Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, Azure AD, and Entra ID.
• Experience with Kerberos/SSO, PowerShell automation, large enterprise environments, and strict change control.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to pass a Public Trust Government background investigation.
• Strong written and oral communication, troubleshooting, teamwork, and high-stress-environment skills.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300).
• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, ACL, Group Policy, AGPM, SCCM, SCOM, and WSUS.
