OT Cyber Security Senior Manager

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid arrangement with typically 2–3 days per week in the Amsterdam office and travel to client sites across the Netherlands as required.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of OT security programmes in regulated industrial environments, managing timelines, budgets, standards, and client execution.
• Serve as the primary client contact, build stakeholder relationships, and conduct cybersecurity strategy assessments, readiness evaluations, and discovery workshops.
• Analyse Industrial Control Systems architectures, including SCADA, DCS, PLC, and IIoT environments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend improvements.
• Design and implement ICS cybersecurity solutions and develop control frameworks based on NIST, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, and other applicable standards.
• Prepare threat and risk assessments, security policies, procedures, assurance management plans, and compliance evidence.
• Mentor team members through line and matrix management, support business development, and contribute to OT security thought leadership.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity or critical infrastructure security.
• Proven experience leading complex security programmes in regulated industrial environments.
• Deep understanding of Industrial Control Systems, including SCADA, DCS, PLC, and IIoT, and their security challenges.
• Strong familiarity with OT security regulations and frameworks including NIS, NIS2, CAF, and CRA.
• Experience working with technical teams such as engineers and IT professionals, as well as executive stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, with the ability to translate complex technical risks into business impact.
• Willingness to travel across the Netherlands as projects require.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as GICSP, IEC 62443, CISSP, or GRID.
• Experience in Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Defence, or Critical National Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of NERC-CIP, IEC 62443, or ISA/IEC 62443 security standards.
• Experience spanning both advisory work and hands-on technical implementation.
