Backup & Cyber Recovery Engineer

Location: The Hague, Netherlands; hybrid working

Salary: €4,527–€6,036 per month based on 36 hours per week, depending on knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise backup solutions and cyber recovery vaults.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and compliance teams to align solutions with DORA, NIS2, and NN policies.
• Automate backup and recovery workflows using scripting and orchestration tools.
• Run cyber recovery simulations and disaster recovery tests with IT and business units.
• Provide 24/7 support, including ticketing and on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Proven experience with enterprise backup or storage solutions.
• Skills with Azure, AWS, or VMware platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with cyber recovery methods, immutable backups, and ransomware.
• Effective communication and a team-oriented approach, with the ability to lead by example.
• A calm demeanour, strong analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
