Senior IT Project Manager (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote US / Remote Nationwide, United States of America; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required.

Salary: $104,000–$143,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex cybersecurity initiatives from planning through implementation and operational transition.
• Coordinate cybersecurity teams, technology organizations, business stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and external partners.
• Manage integrated plans, milestones, budgets, forecasts, resource allocations, dependencies, risks, decisions, and project controls.
• Drive initiatives across identity and access management, privileged access management, security operations, threat detection and response, network, application, cloud, AI security, governance, risk and compliance, and security architecture.
• Facilitate stakeholder reviews, executive updates, governance forums, steering meetings, and business-focused communications.
• Lead project teams and contractors, mentor junior project managers, and support vendor engagements, procurement, and implementation planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience leading cross-functional technology, cybersecurity, risk management, or related projects, project teams, contractors, and programs.
• Experience managing complex enterprise initiatives involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Experience delivering initiatives in one or more cybersecurity domains, including identity security, security operations, incident response, cloud security, network security, cyber risk, governance, product security, application security, or security engineering.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, risk and dependency management, stakeholder engagement, governance, and reporting.
• Experience preparing executive-level communications, status reports, and decision-support materials and influencing stakeholders in matrixed organizations.
• Experience managing project financials, budgets, forecasts, vendor engagements, or investment-funded initiatives.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently in complex and ambiguous environments.
• Fluency in ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) for project financial management, forecasting, resource allocation, and time tracking.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience with Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery environments.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Jira Align, or similar enterprise delivery and planning tools.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements such as NIST, CIS Controls, Zero Trust, HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC, or PCI.
• Understanding of identity management, threat detection, vulnerability management, cloud security, incident response, security governance, and security architecture.
