Location: Remote in the United States; hiring is currently available only in the listed US states and Washington, DC.

Annual salary: $103,500 for remote candidates elsewhere in the US; $115,000 in Austin, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington, DC, and Chicago; $121,500 in San Francisco and New York.

What you will do

• Create quick-hit news videos and explainers for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Pitch and test new formats with the US social team, including at least one repeatable series concept.
• Work with petition starters to gather footage and voices and keep them at the center of each story.
• Analyze viewer drop-off and performance data to improve hooks, pacing, formats, and breakout potential.
• Present on camera or narrate videos when needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of regular short-form social video production for a brand, organization, campaign, or media outlet.
• Strong short-form video craft, including hooks, retention, sound-off storytelling, and platform-specific editing.
• Fast editing experience with tools such as Descript and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Ability to identify human stories in petitions, explain US news accurately, and exercise sound editorial judgment.
• Ability to guide petition starters through self-filming or short remote interviews.
• Comfort presenting on camera and voicing videos.
• Ability to frame petition stories neutrally and work across differing political viewpoints while following community guidelines.
• Ability to collaborate with the US social team, respond to feedback, and revise quickly.
• AI fluency in scripting, first cuts, captions, and video-production workflows, including judgment about when to trust or override AI output.
• Portfolio of short-form videos, including at least one on-camera or voiced example.

Nice to have

• Experience creating explainers, news videos, or YouTube content.
• Close familiarity with the conservative social media space.

Hiring process
