Head of Video (AI)

Location: US Remote; remote work with at least 2 hours of daily overlap with Pacific time.

What you will do

• Own every video from brief through publishing, setting standards for story, pacing, b-roll, graphics, and sound.
• Direct filming with founders and experts and edit footage into engaging videos.
• Publish weekly while maintaining production quality.
• Manage the video editor and a bench of freelancers.
• Adapt long-form content into Shorts, Reels, TikToks, and LinkedIn clips for each platform.
• Plan distribution, collaborate with Content, SEO, and Design, test titles, thumbnails, and hooks, and use AI tools to accelerate production.

Requirements

• Portfolio demonstrating taste and range, including the candidate’s role in each piece.
• 7+ years of video-making experience, including 2+ years owning creative for a brand, channel, or show.
• Ability to personally edit the most important pieces.
• Experience directing editors or freelancers, or managing a small team.
• Ability to explain a technical product clearly to non-technical viewers.
• Experience publishing weekly or faster for at least six months.
• Experience growing an audience on YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok.
• Fluency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects, and daily use of AI tools.
• Clear written and spoken English required.
