Senior Full Stack Developer (React Native)

Location: Fully remote, with the role listed in Manchester, United Kingdom

Salary: £70,000–£85,000 per annum

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#, React, TypeScript, and React Native.
• Build and enhance mobile applications for retail stores and handheld devices.
• Develop administration portals, reporting tools, and internal business applications.
• Create REST APIs, backend services, and integrations with ePOS platforms.
• Contribute to microservices-based architectures and work with relational and document databases, including SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, collaborate with product teams, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of commercial C#/.NET development experience and at least 6 years of commercial React and TypeScript experience.
• Experience with React Native, commercially or through personal projects.
• Strong understanding of relational or document databases, microservices architecture, REST APIs, backend services, software engineering principles, testing, and maintainable code.
• Experience working in Agile development teams and adapting to changing project requirements.
• Good communication and collaboration skills with developers and stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, technical decision-making, and ownership of solutions.

Nice to have

• Jest and React Testing Library.
• Offline-first applications and synchronisation between local devices and cloud services.
• Ditto, Couchbase Mobile, Firebase, RabbitMQ, MassTransit, micro-frontends, or distributed systems.
• Entity Framework, MVC, Azure, Jenkins, Kubernetes, GitFlow, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Previous mentoring or support of junior developers.
