AI Engineer Senior (AI)

What you will do

• Build and maintain the Python SDK, framework adapters, agent and MCP templates, memory and context services, agent registry integration, and FastAPI entry layer.
• Develop SDK features and integrations with Strands, Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, memory services, skills, prompt management, and evaluation hooks.
• Build agent and MCP server templates for AgentCore Runtime and ECS Fargate over HTTP and A2A.
• Integrate AWS Agent Registry workflows and support RAG and knowledge services using Bedrock Knowledge Bases, OpenSearch vector, and ingestion pipelines.
• Write contract and integration tests, maintain the release parity gate, and create internal documentation and samples.
• Help use-case teams onboard and debug agents, participate in on-call or office hours, and contribute to RCAs.

Requirements

• Advanced English proficiency at C1 or above, with autonomy to communicate directly with international stakeholders.
• Extensive software engineering experience with strong Python, FastAPI or similar frameworks, asynchronous programming, packaging, and testing.
• At least 1 year building LLM-powered applications or agents that reached real users in a pilot or production environment.
• Experience with tool calling, prompt design, and handling model failures.
• Familiarity with at least one agent framework: Strands, LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI, or LlamaIndex.
• AWS experience with Lambda, ECS/Fargate, IAM, S3, DynamoDB, and Bedrock or SageMaker.
• Experience with RAG, including embeddings, vector stores, chunking, and retrieval tuning.
• Comfort with CI/CD, Docker containers, and infrastructure as code; Terraform is preferred.
• Experience with or knowledge of Bedrock AgentCore, MCP server development, A2A, Redis/ElastiCache, OpenSearch, Langfuse or similar observability tools, prompt management, and evaluation tools.
• Experience writing internal developer documentation and samples such as notebooks and quick starts.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications and recent study or project history in agent technology may substitute for multiple years of hands-on experience.
