Digital Producer, Drama

Location: Digbeth, Birmingham, UK. Birmingham is the ideal base; other UK bases may be considered if they provide good transport links for regular UK-wide travel. The role includes travel to Cardiff, Glasgow, and the West Midlands.

Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per year, dependent on relevant skills, knowledge, and experience.

What you will do

• Script, shoot, and edit observational and behind-the-scenes content for drama productions, often on short lead times.
• Travel to regional hubs and sets to capture footage for multiplatform use.
• Collaborate with production teams to organise shoots, obtain access, and create engaging content.
• Create digital assets for Facebook, X, YouTube, and Instagram using Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
• Re-version clips for social media by cutting footage and adding subtitles and graphics.
• Monitor BBC-wide digital strategies, social platform developments, industry trends, and audience engagement habits.

Requirements

• Experience working as a self-shooting Digital Producer or Producer Director for broadcast television.
• Experience creating premium, fast-turnaround content end to end, including scripting, shooting, and editing, for digital or broadcast television.
• Advanced skills in Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and InDesign.
• Experience creating digital assets, adding subtitles, using templates, re-versioning clips, and producing bespoke images.
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including trends, audience insights, and technical specifications.
• Expert knowledge of the digital production lifecycle, including budgeting, risk assessment, compliance, and end-to-end project management.
• Knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm for TV drama, specifically hirify.global Drama Productions content.
