Production Assistant Apprenticeship - Level 3 (Scripted Drama Editorial)

Location: Cardiff — Roath Lock, Wales; applicants must live within a commutable distance and be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the apprenticeship duration. Travel to in-person learning blocks and related activities may be required.

What you will do

• Support the Scripted Drama Editorial team in the Production Office working on Casualty.
• Research content and help develop ideas, stories, guest opportunities, and participant opportunities.
• Assist production teams on location, in the studio, in TV galleries, and on the studio floor.
• Support camera, sound, lighting, editing, and other technical activities while learning specialist equipment and software.
• Create content for multiple platforms, including social media, under professional guidance.
• Attend on- and off-the-job learning blocks toward the Level 3 Production Assistant qualification.

• Non-graduate status; the scheme is aimed at applicants without a degree.
• At least 18 years old by the apprenticeship start in September 2027.
• Continuous residence in the UK for the three years before the apprenticeship starts.
• Legal eligibility to work full-time in the UK for the full apprenticeship duration.
• Must not be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme.
• Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or above, National 5 at C, Essential Skills Level 2, or an equivalent qualification; missing qualifications must be achieved before the end-point assessment.
