Production Assistant Apprenticeship - Level 3 - BBC Studios - Specialist Factual Production - London

Location: London - Television Centre; candidates must live within a commutable distance and travel to in-person learning blocks and apprenticeship activities where required.

Salary: £24,650 plus £5,441 London weighting.

What you will do

• Research content and develop ideas and stories, including finding guests and participants.
• Assist production teams on location, in studios, TV galleries, and on studio floors.
• Support camera, sound, lighting, editing, and other technical production activities.
• Create content for multiple platforms, including social media, under professional guidance.
• Attend workplace and learning-provider sessions while working toward the Level 3 Production Assistant apprenticeship qualification.

Requirements

• Must be aged 18 or over by the apprenticeship start in September 2027.
• Must have lived continuously in the UK for the three years before the apprenticeship starts.
• Must be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire apprenticeship.
• Must not be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme.
• The scheme is aimed at non-graduates.
• Passion and curiosity about content and the production process.
• New ideas and fresh perspectives for hirify.global content.
• Teamwork, ability to handle unexpected challenges, flexibility, and adaptability.
• Applicants under 19 on 7 September 2027 must hold the specified Maths and English qualifications or achieve Functional Skills Level 2 before the end-point assessment.
