Production Planner (Robotics Manufacturing)

Location: Verda Park, based at the Robotics Campus in Wallingford, England, United Kingdom. Onsite role; hirify.global is unable to provide sponsorship or relocation.

What you will do

• Translate customer orders, demand forecasts, and delivery commitments into realistic production schedules.
• Monitor capacity, adjust plans, and maintain on-time delivery of robots.
• Manage MRP requirements, anticipate material shortages, and coordinate component availability with Procurement, including long-lead-time items.
• Maintain BOMs and stock records with Engineering and Stores, improving inventory control and reducing excess and obsolete stock.
• Coordinate Sales, Finance, Production, Procurement, Engineering, and Stores through the S&OP process, providing reporting and actionable production insights.
• Build scalable scheduling and reporting frameworks that reduce inventory bottlenecks, assembly disruptions, and supply-chain risks.

Requirements

• Proven demand, production, or materials planning experience in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with MRP, BOM control, and inventory management, including forecasting and supplier lead times.
• Experience working with Procurement, Stores, Production, Engineering, and Finance.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent Excel experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or other planning systems.
• Clear communication skills and confidence challenging assumptions and influencing decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, electronics, or other technology-led hardware manufacturing, ideally with complex or configurable products.
• Experience in a fast-growing business and in improving or building planning processes.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and managing engineering changes.
