Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Full-time on site in Wotton, RH5 6QT, United Kingdom; Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. Due to the rural location, applicants require their own reliable transport.

What you will do

• Plan and schedule production across injection moulding, clean room processes, instrument-cell operations, and the complete laboratory production cycle.
• Coordinate demand priorities, capacity, labour, materials, warehouse availability, maintenance tasks, and resource planning.
• Schedule new-tool trials, refurbished or repaired tools, and R&D activities.
• Provide lead-time data, report delays, resolve demand issues, and generate production-performance metrics.
• Support inventory audits and production administration, including ERP transactions, scrappage forms, and work orders for new products.
• Review holiday schedules and plan resources while identifying cycle-time, efficiency, and process-improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in planning, coordinating, scheduling, inventory management, and production control.
• Experience with plastic injection moulding processes is preferred within the relevant experience.
• Good understanding of Oracle or a similar MRP-based planning system.
• Strong knowledge of modern planning concepts and practices.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, capacity constraints, inventory levels, lead times, and orders due on the same date.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills, strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to create interlinked spreadsheets.
• Flexibility, proactivity, urgency, and the ability to provide detailed information when required.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with cross-functional colleagues and communicate with management.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with honest and ethical working values.
