Video Production Manager

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; hybrid working. International travel and work outside normal hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

What you will do

• Plan and manage video productions from briefing through filming, editing, approvals and final delivery, including schedules, resources, budgets and deadlines.
• Coordinate branded, commercial, editorial, documentary, social-first, podcast and promotional video content.
• Organise crews, freelancers, equipment, locations, suppliers and production logistics for UK and international events.
• Undertake hands-on filming, editing, technical troubleshooting and quality checks where required.
• Improve production workflows using AI and automation for transcription, editing, clipping, captioning, graphics, versioning and media management.
• Manage video assets, production costs, purchase orders, permissions, releases and usage rights while working with Editorial, Commercial, Social, Publishing, Events, Finance and Technology.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video production and production coordination or management.
• Experience delivering branded, commercial or editorial video content, including documentary, interview, longer-form, short-form and social-first video.
• Strong practical editing skills, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, plus technical knowledge of cameras, lighting, audio and post-production.
• Experience organising filming schedules, crews, equipment and locations, and briefing and coordinating freelance editors and production crews.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and budgets with a practical, cost-conscious approach.
• Strong organisational, project management, communication and relationship-building skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, resolve problems and adapt to fast-moving production environments.
• Comfort working collaboratively with internal teams, clients, freelancers and external suppliers.

Nice to have

• Experience in media, publishing, marketing, advertising or a creative agency.
• Experience producing video at conferences, festivals and major industry events, including international filming and overseas production crews.
• Experience with social video editing apps, mobile production tools, podcasts, audio/video content, video asset libraries and digital content workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted editing, transcription, captioning and automation.
