Lead Data Analyst

Location: South America; full remote

What you will do

• Own data analysis initiatives and transform complex datasets into actionable insights for business decisions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain data queries, models, datasets, dashboards, reports, and KPIs using cloud tools.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, validation, monitoring, documentation, and dataset labeling.
• Communicate findings and recommendations while supporting analytics, reporting, and data governance best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data Analyst roles.
• Strong SQL proficiency and hands-on experience with large datasets.
• Experience with Python for data analysis and preparation, or an equivalent distributed platform such as Pandas or PySpark.
• Strong experience creating and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Understanding of data modeling, KPIs, business metrics, and basic statistics, including descriptive statistics, trend analysis, and hypothesis testing.
• Experience with large-scale data environments and cloud-based data warehouses.
• Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised data science algorithms.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Academic background in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Azure or AWS.
• Familiarity with Git, data pipeline concepts, and CI/CD.
