Senior Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: 100% remote opportunities. The company is represented in Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Denmark, with projects in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Singapore, the United States, and other countries.

What you will do

• Design and execute advanced analytical and machine learning solutions.
• Develop, scale, and architect production-level ML/DL models and data solutions.
• Run ML experimentation and tracking using MLflow, W&B, or Databricks ML.
• Build MLOps workflows covering model registration, deployment, monitoring, drift management, and retraining.
• Use big-data platforms such as Spark and Databricks to optimize model training and scoring.
• Mentor engineers and teams, communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and connect technical decisions with business objectives.

Requirements

• Advanced Python for ML/DL, including NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, experimental design, and causal inference.
• Advanced SQL for large-scale data manipulation and workloads.
• Deep understanding of MLOps workflows and experience with cloud ML platforms such as Azure ML, SageMaker, or Vertex AI.
• Experience with big-data platforms, including Spark and Databricks.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs, articulate sound technical choices, and translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Exceptional mentoring, team-building, ownership, problem-solving, data visualization, and executive storytelling skills.
• Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in data science environments, including building and architecting production-level data solutions.
• English proficiency at minimum B2 level.
