Senior Project Manager (Electromobility)

What you will do

• Lead large and complex automotive and electromobility projects from concept development through industrialization.
• Drive development and delivery of complete ePower systems, including hardware, software, battery systems, electronics, and system integration.
• Manage project scope, quality, delivery, cost, features, safety, and sustainability targets.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams and coordinate activities across technical departments, operations, aftermarket, and purchasing.
• Maintain project plans, milestones, schedules, and resource requirements while monitoring risks, dependencies, and corrective actions.
• Drive technical alignment, decision-making, verification, validation, process adherence, and continuous improvement with internal stakeholders and external solution providers.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of project management experience and 6 years of automotive product development experience.
• Experience leading large and complex technical development projects from concept phase to industrialization.
• Strong understanding of automotive product development processes and system integration.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of hardware and software development, preferably involving electrical and electronic systems.
• Strong project planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, prioritization, and delivery skills in a dynamic international environment.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with electromobility systems and components, including electric powertrains and battery systems.
• Knowledge of Volvo product development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Experience with Design Verification Plan (DVP) and validation activities.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management certification.
• Experience integrating electrical, electronic, hardware, and software components.
