Project Manager (AI)

Location: Remote

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 USD annual base compensation

What you will do

• Lead assigned projects end to end, managing plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and status reporting.
• Coordinate the development and delivery of educational programs, resources, learning platforms, and related operations.
• Partner with instructional designers and technical teams on requirements, course and content development, testing, releases, implementation, and adoption.
• Build cross-functional relationships, facilitate communication, drive decisions, and complete action items.
• Identify opportunities for AI in project and business workflows; determine when chatbots, custom GPTs, Claude Skills, or reusable AI workflows are appropriate, and evaluate their outputs.
• Improve workflows, documentation, tracking, project visibility, and recommendations while taking initiative in ambiguous situations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 3+ years of relevant project management experience, including ownership of project plans, timelines, deliverables, and cross-team coordination.
• Initiative, accountability, reliable follow-through, strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Proficiency with generative AI platforms including OpenAI and Anthropic; ability to design, test, and refine prompts and apply human review and verification to AI-generated outputs.
• Experience collaborating with technical and nontechnical teams, managing competing priorities, and quickly learning new technologies, platforms, and systems.
• Experience using Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or comparable project management and collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum, or comparable project management certification.
• Experience with NIH-funded programs, federal contracts, biomedical research, or scientific initiatives.
• Experience with software development or technical teams, including familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
• Experience supporting education, training, instructional design, or capacity-building programs.
• Experience with learning management systems, educational technology, or technology-enabled learning platforms.
• Teaching, training facilitation, instructional experience, systems implementation, workflow improvement, or technology adoption experience.
