Engineering Manager, Homeowner and Partner Experiences (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States; PST or MST working timezone preferred.

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year.

hirify.global is an early-stage fintech and proptech company developing home-equity access products for homeowners without traditional monthly financing payments.

What you will do

• Lead the team building systems for homeowner and partner experiences from marketing through origination.
• Own the architecture and evolution of AWS infrastructure with AWS CDK, including serverless applications built on AWS Lambda.
• Drive cloud security, observability, reliability, logging, monitoring, alerting, incident response, performance, cost, and scalability.
• Define AI-first engineering practices, guardrails, tooling, context, conventions, review processes, and internal workflows for reliable AI-assisted development.
• Contribute to product development with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, React, Next.js, Tailwind, and Vercel, while improving code review, testing, deployment, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Manage and develop full-stack engineers, plan priorities with product leads, coordinate with QA, Salesforce, offshore engineering, Engineering Leadership, and People Operations, and support hiring and onboarding.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a full-stack or platform engineer, with a strong focus on back-end engineering and cloud infrastructure.
• 3+ years of directly managing engineers while remaining hands-on.
• Deep production experience with AWS and AWS CDK.
• Strong experience with cloud security, observability, and building scalable, maintainable systems.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with experience in PostgreSQL and database design.
• Working experience with React, Next.js, Tailwind, and Vercel.
• Experience leading AI-first engineering practices at team level, including applying LLMs with appropriate guardrails while maintaining quality.
• Experience building internal tooling, automation, or developer workflows that improve AI-assisted engineering.
• Strong technical judgment, direct feedback skills, and experience supporting engineer growth and performance.
• Clear communication with product, QA, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Candidates must be located in the United States.
