Facilities & Infrastructure Manager (Cleanroom Facilities)

Location: Málaga, Spain, with a mandatory one-year training and relocation period in Leuven, Belgium; onsite at least 4 days out of 5, with more presence required during build-up and commissioning.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop internal and external facilities and infrastructure professionals while fostering a safe, inclusive, and diverse workplace.
• Manage relationships with internal business owners, document facility needs, agree targets, and organize regular follow-ups.
• Oversee the lifecycle of buildings, installations, and outdoor areas, including engineering, construction, maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
• Ensure safe, sustainable, continuous, and functional operations for cleanrooms, laboratories, employees, and visitors, including planned shutdowns and unplanned outages.
• Source and coordinate external suppliers, evaluate contracts, and improve the quality-to-cost ratio.
• Own technical documentation, service specifications, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, spend management, reporting, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Proven people-management and leadership experience, including at least 3 years of leadership experience.
• Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience of at least 3 years, preferably in an industrial, technical, or Facilities Management discipline.
• Good understanding of financial, risk, and project management; practical project-management experience is a plus.
• Service-minded, customer-oriented, hands-on, proactive, autonomous, stress-resistant, and improvement-focused.
• Fluent Spanish and moderate-to-good English.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, CAFM/FMIS tools, SAP, and other digital solutions.
• Ability to work onsite at least 4 days out of 5, with increased onsite presence during build-up and commissioning.
