Project Manager - Safety & Control (Control Automation)

What you will do

• Lead build-to-print control panel and major hardware projects from initial client engagement through delivery.
• Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocations, budgets, forecasts, and status reports.
• Monitor progress, risks, costs, quality, compliance, and corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate clients, engineers, procurement, production, quality assurance, suppliers, and project teams.
• Manage client requirements, expectations, documentation, meetings, audits, and formal project communications.
• Drive process improvements, continuous improvement, training, health and safety, and compliance with applicable procedures.

Requirements

• Appropriate degree in science or engineering.
• Proven project management and team leadership experience, including a structured project delivery lifecycle as a Level 5 Engineer or Level 4 Project Manager.
• At least 1 year of successful and productive experience, typically 2–3 years, at Level 5 Engineer, Level 4 Project Manager, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, plus deep knowledge of project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong commercial, financial, and contract management skills, including experience with NEC and other contract forms.
• Proficiency in formal technical documentation across the full project lifecycle and good knowledge of IT/OT solution delivery and governance.
• Excellent understanding of Quality Management System procedures and ability to support project quality audits.
• Project planning, coordination, and control skills; analytical, leadership, communication, estimation, and complex activity-management abilities.
• Ability to achieve goals through teams, take on additional responsibility, manage stretching objectives, and estimate time and costs for complex or novel proposals.
• Full driving licence.

Nice to have

• Experience using formal contract management tools such as CEMAR.
