Director, Program Management - Solid Rocket Motor (Aerospace)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, US; on-site role. Schedule: 9/80, with every other Friday off.

What you will do

• Lead a portfolio of defense programs supporting solid rocket motor production and development.
• Drive program execution, cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify and mitigate program risks while driving continuous improvement.
• Contribute to strategic planning and future growth within the Strategic Deterrence Business Unit.
• Lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 10 years of related experience, or 16 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to work at the Huntsville, Alabama location.
• Security clearance may be required; clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens, and classified-access eligibility requirements apply where relevant.

Nice to have

• Experience leading complex defense programs in production or development environments.
• Leadership experience managing portfolios, teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Knowledge of program execution, financial management, customer engagement, risk management, communication, collaboration, and strategic planning.
• Experience with missile, strategic systems, propulsion, energetics, or related defense programs.
• Experience in Department of Defense program environments and large-scale, high-visibility customer programs.
• Experience with advanced aerospace propulsion assemblies using solid propellants.
• Experience supporting solid rocket motor development, production, integration, or sustainment.
