Principal Program Manager (TS/SCI)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. This is an onsite role based at hirify.global’s headquarters. U.S. office candidates must be eligible under ITAR requirements to work with regulated space technology.

Base pay: $175,500–$263,250 USD annually for California employees. Stock is included in total compensation.

What you will do

• Lead multiple mission-platform programs from blank-sheet concepts through qualification, responsive production, and flight.
• Own technical roadmaps, major program decisions, architecture trade-offs, and the resolution of program-threatening issues.
• Manage program P&L on a Firm Fixed Price basis, including forecasts, revenue and margin milestones, budgets, and Make/Buy decisions.
• Manage strategic suppliers and subcontracts while reducing schedule, supply-chain, manufacturing, and yield risks.
• Synchronize hardware, software, GNC, propulsion, and mission-assurance teams and remove execution roadblocks.
• Serve as the primary contact for U.S. Government national security customers and support proposals and technical narratives with BD & Strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, science, or another technical discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in the aerospace or space industry, including 8+ years of technical program management experience.
• Depth in at least one area: prototype-to-flight transition; EO/IR and optical payloads; production engineering; manufacturing risk reduction; or advanced sensing and communications such as RADAR, SAR, or advanced communication architectures.
• Experience identifying and neutralizing technical, schedule, or supply-chain risks before they affect the mission.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• For U.S. office roles, eligibility to work with ITAR-regulated technology is required: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or applicable government authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience transitioning low-volume prototypes into responsive production while maintaining mission reliability.
• Deep experience with National Security Space and time-critical mission sets.
• Success negotiating, capturing, and executing large U.S. Government contracts.
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Systems-engineering fluency, including trade studies, interface control, and requirements integrity, plus experience with Jira, Confluence, and ERP.
