Senior Project Engineer (Electrical)

Location: Hybrid in Irvine, California, United States; travel up to 20%, including local and U.S. project sites.

Base salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead electrical engineering projects from proposal and conceptual design through construction administration and closeout.
• Manage technical quality, project delivery, budgets, schedules, meeting follow-up, and project coordination.
• Provide technical direction, oversight, and mentoring to engineers, designers, and BIM/CAD staff.
• Design electrical systems including service entrances, distribution, feeders, UPS, DC power, standby generators, security, and fire alarms.
• Perform power studies using SKM Power Tools and Easypower, electrical commissioning, and site reviews.
• Participate in client meetings, proposal development, scope definition, fee estimating, and business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience designing electrical systems for various facility types.
• Proficiency with engineering tools and software for developing schedules, tracking milestones, preparing budgets, and managing meeting notes and follow-up lists.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage smaller projects with limited direction.
• Flexibility to work across different projects and tasks and collaborate with electrical, BIM/CAD, and multidisciplinary design teams.

Nice to have

• EIT or PE certification.
