(Sr.) Engineer I (II)

Location: Hybrid in Audubon, Pennsylvania, United States

What you will do

• Coordinate the interconnection of new generation and merchant transmission projects and the installation of network upgrades for the PJM system.
• Act as a liaison with transmission owners, generation companies, project developers, and other stakeholders on new connections to the bulk power system.
• Develop and coordinate work plans for generation and transmission reinforcement projects spanning multiple customer needs and transmission owner systems.
• Manage timelines, milestones, and critical-path tasks from engineering design through execution of the interconnection service agreement.
• Coordinate and issue interconnection studies and agreements, while working with PJM divisions on system reinforcement requirements.
• Improve project management methods and progress-monitoring technologies and develop tactical plans aligned with department strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or at least 5 years of equivalent applicable work experience.
• At least 5 years of field experience with major substation and transmission line construction and maintenance, or generation operations, construction, and maintenance activities.
• Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Ability to apply mathematical and electrical theory.
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Engineering.
• Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions.
• Experience using PSS/e power system analysis software.
