Site Reliability Engineer (Akamai)

Location: Fully remote, but candidates must already be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Manage and improve cloud infrastructure and site reliability across client environments.
• Work with Akamai CDN, edge security, and networking components including DNS, proxies, WAF, and bot management.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt.
• Work with Git and CI/CD pipelines in agile enterprise delivery environments.
• Communicate complex infrastructure concepts clearly to leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps, including Python.
• Akamai CDN experience is mandatory.
• Experience with Terraform and Terragrunt, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of edge security and networking, including DNS, proxies, WAF, and bot management.
• Experience delivering work in agile, large enterprise environments.
• Ability to communicate complex infrastructure concepts to leadership.
• Fluent English at B2 level.
• Must already be based in Portugal and have Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
