Product Manager - AI Platform (AI)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid workplace. International relocation support is provided if required, and working from abroad is available.

What you will do

• Define, prioritize, and own the roadmap for an internal AI-as-a-Platform offering serving domain and product teams.
• Identify and drive AI use cases for client experience, predictive modeling, personalization, operational scalability, fraud detection, and performance improvement.
• Coordinate implementation timelines across the AI platform, domain, mobile, and other teams.
• Drive AI compliance, regulatory adherence, ethical usage, data protection, security, and governance.
• Support the planning, launch, and post-launch monitoring of client-facing AI features across Product, Engineering, Data, Operations, and Compliance.
• Lead agile product development, backlog management, planning, user-story definition, and data-driven strategy evolution using AI system outputs, trace analysis, agent performance, and user feedback.

Requirements

• Proven Product Manager experience with backend services, APIs, or AI-powered products, ideally serving multiple client-facing teams.
• High-level understanding of LLMs, prompt design, agent architectures, and evaluation approaches.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and work effectively with Engineering, Data Science, and AI/ML teams; a technical degree is a strong plus.
• Experience understanding how AI-powered services are built and evaluated and collaborating with Data Scientists and AI/ML Engineers.
• Understanding of AI regulation, compliance requirements, and data governance principles, including collaboration with DPO or Legal teams.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to use quantitative and qualitative data for complex platform decisions.
• Hands-on ownership of product development from ideation and compliance review through scalable launch.
• Excellent English communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly to engineers, executives, and legal counsel.
