(Senior) Legal Counsel

Location: Berlin, Germany

What you will do

• Advise on commercial matters, with additional exposure to corporate, compliance, and regulatory topics.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners, independently or with support based on complexity and experience.
• Embed legal thinking into cross-functional business initiatives and processes.
• Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks through practical, scalable approaches.
• Contribute to compliance, governance, and M&A activities where relevant.

Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in Germany through the 2. Juristisches Staatsexamen with befriedigend or better, the United States through admission to a state bar, or England & Wales through Solicitor qualification.
• Proven experience handling commercial contracts in a B2B environment and managing negotiations with a good degree of autonomy.
• Solid commercial judgment and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Experience working across multiple topics or projects, ideally in a cross-functional environment.
• Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to translate legal concepts into practical guidance for business stakeholders.
