Location: Parkersburg, West Virginia, United States; onsite at the Washington Works location

Salary: $110,544–$172,725 per year; annual bonus target: 11%

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and program management for air-related environmental compliance at the Washington Works manufacturing site.
• Manage the Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) program, including regulatory interpretation, practical guidance, and training materials.
• Support Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, NPDES, SPCC, stormwater, groundwater, waste, and other environmental compliance programs.
• Guide air permit applications, renewals, modifications, emissions inventories, emission-reduction initiatives, and Title V compliance activities.
• Prepare federal, state, and local environmental reports, including SARA 312/313, Title V demonstrations, air emissions and greenhouse gas inventories, hazardous waste reports, and related corporate data.
• Participate in agency interactions, audits, environmental incident investigations, ISO 14001 audits, applicability determinations, and compliance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably chemical engineering, or in chemistry, geology, environmental science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years of environmental work experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience with air regulations and compliance requirements at an operating facility.
• Experience with RCMS and ISO 14001 requirements at operating facilities.
• Experience involving training in Root Cause Failure Investigation for environmental events.

Nice to have

• Expertise in additional environmental competencies, including air and water compliance, waste management, and associated permitting.
• Experience managing LDAR programs under federal and state rules.
• Experience preparing environmental reports such as SARA 312/313, air emissions inventories, CERCLA, TRI, AEI, and MACT compliance submissions.
• Experience developing and preparing Minor NSR and Title V air permits.
• Environmental regulatory knowledge focused on air.
• Experience influencing and negotiating with organizational stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
