Environmental Engineer - NCG (Environmental/Safety)

Location: MA - Lawrence, United States; other location: MA - Lowell. Travel: 25%–50%.

Annual base salary: $46,000–$128,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Support environmental, health, safety, permitting, risk, compliance, and management-system programs.
• Translate regulatory, operational, facility, process, chemical, stakeholder, and business needs into requirements and controls.
• Analyze hazards, environmental impacts, incidents, exposures, compliance trends, risks, and technical tradeoffs.
• Assist with permit, assessment, monitoring, audit, inspection, incident, and corrective-action investigations.
• Support pollution prevention, risk reduction, data quality, standardization, readiness, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with EHS, facilities, manufacturing, engineering, legal, security, supply chain, and leadership teams while maintaining lifecycle documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Three years or less of relevant experience in environmental engineering, EHS, regulatory compliance, permitting, industrial hygiene, risk assessment, sustainability, or a closely related area.
• Analytical thinking, structured problem solving, technical ownership, clear communication, technical documentation, cross-functional collaboration, quality and safety focus, and sound judgment.
• Employment stability, reliability, sustained accountability, effective teamwork, integrity, and accuracy in representing qualifications, experience, and credentials.

Nice to have

• Experience with environmental compliance, air, water, waste, hazardous materials, permitting, EHS, industrial hygiene, or safety engineering.
• Experience with risk assessment, audits, inspections, incident investigation, corrective action, management systems, or regulatory reporting.
• Experience with manufacturing environments, pollution prevention, emergency response, sustainability, data analysis, or agency interaction.
• Master’s degree in a related environmental, engineering, or occupational safety field.
