Senior DevSecOps & AI Automation Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon or Porto, with up to 2 remote days per week. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Europe.

Salary: €3,990–€4,830 for B2B or €2,100–€2,400 net under a permanent contract.

What you will do

• Design and implement CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, GitOps practices, and automated security validation gates.
• Engineer and optimize containerized environments with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Build self-service platform capabilities for secure provisioning, deployments, and rollbacks without manual intervention.
• Develop AI-driven automation for infrastructure provisioning and incident remediation with governance and permission frameworks.
• Prototype emerging technologies, including service mesh, policy as code, and observability, while supporting innovation lab activities.
• Improve developer experience and DORA metrics, measure developer toil, establish fast feedback loops, and promote knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role, including at least 3 years driving innovation, prototyping technologies, or leading architectural improvements.
• Expert-level experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux/Unix administration, Git, and multi-cloud environments.
• Practical experience with security automation, including SAST/DAST, container security, secrets management, and policy as code.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Bash, plus REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with observability practices and tools for centralized logging, APM, and distributed tracing.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in Europe are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of AI agents, LLMs in operations, agent governance, sandboxing, or hybrid human-AI workflows.
• Exposure to LangChain or AutoGen.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, Jaeger, or New Relic.
