AI Developer Advocate

Location: Portugal; 100% remote working with in-person participation in community events and conferences

What you will do

• Build relationships with developers, speakers, organizers, and partners; run recurring meetups and workshops.
• Grow repeat participation and help community members become contributors, speakers, and organizers.
• Turn technical projects, architectural decisions, and lessons learned into articles, tutorials, and talks while respecting client confidentiality.
• Create working AI demos and lead practical sessions explaining implementation choices and trade-offs.
• Speak at conferences, participate in relevant communities, and bring useful feedback to the engineering team.

Requirements

• Professional experience building and shipping software, including coding, debugging, and explaining architectural trade-offs.
• Ability to independently build AI applications and discuss their limitations, architecture, and practical challenges.
• Ability to communicate and teach technical audiences in English and Portuguese.
• Experience building or helping grow a technical community, meetup series, or open-source project; explain ownership, retention factors, and community development.
• Ability to take an idea from topic selection through demo creation, content development, and event delivery.
• Previous Developer Relations experience is welcome but not required; shipped work, teaching, and community growth matter more than a specific title or number of years.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of languages other than English and Portuguese.
