AI Architect

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; fully remote

What you will do

• Design scalable AI architectures and end-to-end technical solutions for enterprise environments, covering data, infrastructure, model deployment, and production.
• Design cloud-native AI and Machine Learning platforms on Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Industrialize AI solutions by building robust, scalable, and maintainable production environments.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize Machine Learning models using MLOps practices.
• Design Generative AI use cases involving LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and enterprise AI applications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and advise clients on AI architecture, cloud strategy, and technology decisions.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.
• Solid experience designing AI and Machine Learning architectures and deploying ML solutions into production.
• Strong experience with Python and Machine Learning frameworks including scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, and Pandas.
• Experience building AI solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP, with MLOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, Airflow, or similar.
• Practical knowledge of Generative AI technologies including LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, OpenAI, LangChain, or similar.
• Experience designing enterprise AI solutions with Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, Amazon SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or equivalent platforms.
• Consulting mindset, excellent communication skills, and ability to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
• Professional-level English required. Spanish is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in Data Engineering, Big Data, or Data Architecture, including Spark, Kafka, Data Lakes/Lakehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience designing modern cloud data platforms that support AI workloads.
• Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
