Agentic NetOps & Agent Operations Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid remote/office in Portugal, with offices in Lisbon/Amadora or Porto. Remote work is permitted within Portugal.

What you will do

• Design and implement a staged Agentic NetOps roadmap from observation and recommendations to approved and guardrailed autonomous actions.
• Convert network runbooks and operational procedures into machine-readable workflows and reusable tools.
• Build human-in-the-loop and human-on-the-loop controls, including approval gates, policy boundaries, rollback controls, and auditability.
• Integrate agents with trusted sources of truth, network telemetry, ITSM workflows, and automation APIs.
• Operate the AgentOps lifecycle through evaluation, simulation, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with network architects, operations, Cybersecurity, data/AI teams, and external suppliers.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of enterprise network operations, network automation, or SRE, including the ability to assess the safety and impact of production network actions.
• Experience developing AI agents, workflow orchestration, or tool-using LLM applications with APIs and structured outputs.
• Proficiency in Python and enterprise version-control practices, including testing, CI/CD, and observability.
• Knowledge of network automation interfaces, ITSM workflows, and telemetry.
• Strong written and spoken English is mandatory.
