Field Application Engineer

Location: Madrid, Spain; flexibility and mobility within Spain and Portugal are required.

What you will do

• Provide technical, consultative support and demonstrate Tektronix hardware, software, and services for automotive, power, and semiconductor test requirements.
• Help customers create optimized software routines for automated testing.
• Install, train, support, and obtain customer acceptance for solutions integrated into workflows.
• Partner with account management to support strategic accounts, business plans, and technical customer relationships.
• Investigate competitors, support internal and partner training, and contribute technical content to virtual and face-to-face marketing.
• Maintain expertise across the Tektronix portfolio, including oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, spectrum analyzers, source measurement units, and digital multimeters.

Requirements

• Technical degree, such as Electronic Engineering or a similar field.
• Strong knowledge of test and measurement, RF, automotive, power electronics, or semiconductors.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes and probes, arbitrary waveform generators, multimeters, source measurement units, and power supplies.
• Knowledge of automotive testing and applications involving IVN, ADAS, EV, or Body; and/or power electronics testing involving power conversion, wide-bandgap testing, battery testing, power integrity, or motor drive analysis.
• Willingness to work with customers and strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Readiness to work in an international environment.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge and experience with programming languages and instrumentation control, such as Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, C++, or C#.
• Portuguese language proficiency.
